    1. Improve vent cap and access cover:
    One of the main reasons for the oil leakage is that the internal pressure of the reducer is greater than the external atmospheric pressure. If we try to make the internal and external pressure of the reducer balanced, the oil leakage can be prevented. Although the reducer has a vent cap, the vent hole is too small, which is easy to be blocked by pulverized coal and oil pollution. Moreover, the cover plate of the inspection hole should be opened every time the oil is added. If the cover plate is opened once, the possibility of oil leakage will be increased, so that the original place without leakage will also occur. Therefore, an oil cup type vent cap is made, and the original thin inspection hole cover plate is changed to 6 mm thick. The oil cup type vent cap is welded on the cover plate, and the vent hole diameter is 6 mm, which is convenient for ventilation and realizes pressure equalization. In addition, oil is added from the oil cup without opening the inspection hole cover plate, which reduces the chance of oil leakage

    2. Smooth flow: in order to prevent the excess lubricating oil thrown on the bearing by the gear from accumulating at the shaft seal, it is necessary to make the excess lubricating oil flow back to the oil pool in a certain direction, that is, to achieve smooth flow. The specific method is to open an oil return groove inclined to the inside of the machine in the center of the lower pad of the bearing pedestal, and also open a gap at the straight port of the end cover, the gap is facing the oil return groove, so that the surplus lubricating oil flows back to the oil pool through the gap and the oil return groove.


    3. Improving the structure of shaft seal
    1) Improvement of shaft seal of reducer with output shaft as half shaft: the output shaft of most equipment, such as belt conveyor, screw unloader, impeller coal feeder, etc., is half shaft, which is more convenient for transformation. Disassemble the reducer, remove the coupling, take out the end cover of the shaft seal of the reducer, turn the processing groove on the outer side of the original end cover according to the matching framework oil seal size, install the framework oil seal, with the side with spring facing inward. During reassembly, if the end cover is more than 35 mm away from the inner end face of the coupling, a spare oil seal can be installed on the shaft outside the end cover. Once the oil seal fails, the damaged oil seal can be taken out and the spare oil seal can be pushed into the end cover, thus eliminating the time-consuming and labor-consuming process of disassembling the reducer and coupling.
    2) Improvement of the shaft seal of the reducer with the output shaft as the whole shaft: the output shaft of the reducer with the whole shaft transmission has no coupling. If it is reformed according to the scheme of 2.3.1, the workload is too large and unrealistic. In order to reduce the workload and simplify the installation procedure, a split type end cover is designed, and an attempt is made to open type oil seal. Turn the machining groove on the outer side of the split type end cover, take out the spring when installing the oil seal, saw the oil seal in an opening shape, sleeve the oil seal on the shaft from the opening, butt the opening with adhesive, and then install the spring, and push the end cover.
    4. Adopt new sealing material: for the leakage of the static sealing point of the reducer, the new polymer repairing material can be used. If there is oil leakage at the static sealing point during the operation of the reducer, it can be blocked with the surface engineering oil surface emergency repair agent adhesive polymer 25551 and 90t composite repair materials, so as to eliminate the oil leakage.
    5. Carefully implement the maintenance process: during the maintenance of the reducer, carefully implement the process specification. The oil seal shall not be installed reversely, the lip shall not be damaged, the outer edge shall not be deformed, the spring shall not fall off, the joint surface shall be cleaned, the sealant shall be evenly applied, and the oil filling amount shall not exceed the scale of the oil scale.
    6. Wipe: the static sealing point of the reducer can be treated without leakage. However, the dynamic sealing point still has small leakage due to the aging of the seal, poor quality, improper assembly and high surface roughness of the shaft. Due to the poor working environment, coal dust sticks to the shaft and appears to be oily. Therefore, it is necessary to wipe the shaft after the equipment stops running Oil on it.
